TICCOM

Analysis of large systems and data-driven materials for road cycling races.

We are a small Slovak company from Partizánske. We do software analysis and systems integration for large information systems — and with the same precision we prepare technical materials for road cycling races. Both lines rest on the same thing: turning raw inputs into an accurate, readable output delivered on time. TICCOM has been in business since 2000, since 2018 as a limited liability company.

01 · What we do

Four things. Done properly.

We do not sell everything to everyone — we work in four areas where we have years of practice and verifiable results.

Analysis and integration for telecommunications

We are part of the integration team of a leading Slovak operator, where we take care of gathering business requirements across departments, translating them into functional specifications for IT development and other suppliers, risk management, test support, on-time deployment and post-launch support.

Custom development with AP soft

Since 2007 we have worked with AP soft of Trenčín, where we act as software consultants and project leads for clients from Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Slovakia. Enterprise solutions, integrations, corporate websites and e-commerce.

Materials for road cycling races

For race organisers we prepare the complete technical package: the technical guide, stage maps, elevation profiles of climbs and finishes, roadbooks, transfer itineraries, passage time schedules and navigation files — to the standard of UCI ProSeries and WorldTour races, usable by organisers, commissaires, teams, TV and local authorities.

02 · How we work

Why it looks like this

Deliberately smallNo sales people, no marketing. Work comes from what we have delivered — systems that run, courses that have graduates, and races that were run using our materials.
Long-term relationshipsWe have worked with AP soft since 2007 and been at Okolo Slovenska since 1991. None of it is a one-off job.
Measured, not guessedOur materials are built on measured data and verified sources. One example is the intelligent peloton speed model we have been developing since 1998 — the current version is calibrated on real data from the 2026 Giro d'Italia and validated against the 2026 Tour de France.
The deadline is part of the briefNeither a race nor a production go-live gets postponed. Risk management and test support are therefore a normal part of the work, not an extra.
03 · Journey

From hand-counted results to data-driven materials

Software and cycling have overlapped in our work for more than thirty years. This is the timeline — and at the same time a list of what we know how to do.

1991

Okolo Slovenska (Tour of Slovakia) — the beginning

Commissaire and support for the manual calculation of results and classifications at the biggest road race in Slovakia.

1992 – 2006

Results service for Okolo Slovenska

Edition after edition, fifteen years. Our own software, our own libraries, results and classifications after every stage. In 1995 also at the Kysuce – Beskydy – Orava – Kysuce race, men and women. From 1999 the complete race materials as well: itineraries, elevation profiles, maps and edition statistics — including a proposed categorisation of the KOM climbs and an English edition of the itinerary.

1998

Peloton speed model

Calibrated on actual times from previous editions. Ever since, we have used it to compute passage times for the race bulletin — at three average speeds and with the course profile taken into account.

1998

Test event ahead of the 1999 Cyclo-cross World Championships

Results processing at the test races in Poprad ahead of the 1999 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships.

15 March 2000

Sole proprietorship founded

The start of independent business under the trade name Ing. Martin Komora — TICCOM.

2001 – 2008

International Cycling Days, Dubnica nad Váhom

Results service, itineraries and maps for the individual races. From 2007 also an English race guide — the direct predecessor of today's technical guide.

2005 – 2007

Dionica, Milan

Support for third-party developers working with the Omero and Omero X EFT/POS terminals — responsibility for the SDK and support, training and root-cause analysis. On-site work from Greece to Colombia.

2007

AP soft, Trenčín

Start of the cooperation as software consultants and project leads for clients from Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Slovakia. Until 2011 mainly embedded software for the precision balances of a Swiss world leader, including hand-over to production in China.

since 2011

Telecommunications

Work for a leading Slovak operator, progressively in the roles: analyst → systems integrator → responsible for project delivery.

2016 – 2024

International Cycling Days — the return

Back at the event: technical guide, maps and profiles. In Dubnica nad Váhom until 2023; the 61st edition in 2024 moved to Tlmače and Podhájska.

since 2017

Okolo Slovenska — the return

Back at the event: technical guide, maps and profiles.

15 March 2018

TICCOM, spol. s r.o. founded

Partizánske — exactly eighteen years after the sole proprietorship; the business came of age. The company is the successor to the sole proprietorship.

2019

Slovak and Czech National Championships, Trnava

Joint championships of both republics — individual time trial and road race for all categories. Materials for thirteen courses and the technical guide of the event.

2020 – 2024

Portfolio expansion

EYOF in Banská Bystrica, Visegrad 4 Bicycle Race, ORLEN Nations Grand Prix. The technical guide becomes the main document; from 2022 a 3D fly-over animation of the race route is added.

2026

Third generation of materials

A complete data chain from the organiser's manual inputs through GPX to print-ready materials: stage maps, elevation profiles, roadbooks, schedules, navigation files and 3D route animations. A change to the course propagates to every output at once — map, profile, roadbook and navigation file all come from one dataset, so they cannot drift apart.
